About Me

I go by many names, which I didn't get to pick, but the one that was granted to me at birth is Fran. So who am I? well, I could tell you that I'm a 20 year old guy that just stopped studying, who likes to hang out with his friends and read books. But how boring would that be..?

Instead I'll give you a little insight into my crazy mind that I, up to this day, have not managed to decipher in the least. I strongly believe that people are content with being comfortable, but are not truly happy in this state. My goal in life is to work towards true happiness outside of my comfort zone and inspire other people to do the same thing.

During this journey I want to optimise all the aspects off my life, wether that's being physically fit, mentally sharp, socially witty or financially stable. All whilst gaining various life experience all around the world. You may call me a dreamer, but I prefer the term opportunist.

My three biggest joys in life:
- #1 is hands down meeting new people and sustaining my relations with friends and family.
- I love all kinds of sports and admire anyone who is dedicated to a sports goal. It might be a quadruple backflip on a motorcycle, an intense round of ping-pong and anything in between
- Improving myself and trying new things. Wether it's starting a blog, a youtube channel, reading books, doing crazy ass challenges or learning to make a cocktail, I'm down!

My three biggest fears in life:
- My biggest fear in life is regret. I've made plenty of decisions in the past which I regret and it's the worst emotion to feel. Failing sucks, but not trying is worse.
- I also greatly fear that people I know and love, and many more in the future, will live a life they don't want to, out of ignorance of fear.
- I was lying when I said that my biggest fear in life is regret. I forgot all about the zombies... Man I hate zombies!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing? There are mainly two reasons, which probably are the same as 99% of the people on here, being that I love meeting new people and that I want to engage in affordable long term travel. What better network to use then Couchsurfing?

PS: Really! If you have a better idea, let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books

Since Couchsurfing put in all the time to make a format, I'll be a good customer and use it.

My favourite music:

I like listening to a lot of different music styles, but that is nothing compared to my love for Hardstyle. Play us a song and I'll teach you the finer moves of the Dutch "hakken" right away. When I'm not listening to Hardstyle I enjoy different kinds of EDM, rock, screamo and relaxation music.

My favourite movies:

I'm not a huge movies kind of guy. I like to watch one occasionally but in my opinion series portray a way better story. My #1 series is Naruto. Besides that I enjoy GOT, The blacklist, Arrow and a lot more.

My favourite books:

If we'd take a look in the non-fiction part of my library, we'll most likely stumble on self-helf books and books themed around social topics. Switch 180 and look in the fiction books, and titles like the sword of truth and The king killer chronicles are likely to pop up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've decided to change my life completely, pack my bags and leave everything I know behind to become a new and better self.

Besides that I've done scuba diving, windsurfing, flew a Chesna, won a national championship, baked a weed brownie, started a blog, wrote songs, went on my knees for a girl, kept my breath for 3 minutes and skinny-dipped multiple times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I truly believe that we continually teach and learn from each other. My outlooks of life have changed a lot in the past couple of years and I'm sure they will change at least as much in the coming years. It would scare me if they would stay the same.

If you want to get a little insight in my mind and see first hand what kind of topics I find very interesting, you can read some of my articles at www.thesocialwolf.co

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides crazy stories and deep conversations, I can offer you great adventures in your own city. We can do things together you've never done and you can show me things I've never seen. If you want we can capture all this with the two go-pro's and video drone that I'll bring along. Cherish the memories for a lifetime!
