About Me

Hi there! I am a French-born, Tanzania-based girl who loves podcasts, crashing parties and watching scenery unfold from train windows. Ardent enthusiast of cross-cultural psychology and tea. And travels, of course, as long as they are done in a meaningful way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the reasons I am on CS: To travel in a different, non-touristy way (or provide the opportunity for others to travel in a different, non-touristy way) and connect with my fellow humans all over the world. Bonus point if I can get new recipes from all over the world.

NOT one of the reasons I am on CS: To use it as a hookup app. Please don't make it awkward ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding on the spur of the moment when I was 18 to leave for a completely new city, pack my things and move 700km away from where I spent my entire life, all in the span of 72 hours. That's when I learned that spontaneity, getting out of your comfort zone and embracing the unknown is one of the most exciting things in life. And it was the beginning of my love for moving to new places, which led me to live 6 different countries and 8 cities over the last 12 years. And I am still counting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a few of my favorite recipes and will eagerly learn to make whatever is your favorite dish from your home country!

If I am hosting you, my place is well stocked with plenty of board games I will be happy to teach you over a fun boardgame night, if I am being hosted, I always travel with a deck of cards and still can teach you a couple of games!

I am a big reading fan, tell me about your favorite books, and you can be sure I will put them in my reading lists and send you a message when it's done to tell you what I thought about them :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation over a nice homemade dinner or a drink, travel stories, kindness, ideas, recipes from all over the world, brainstorming on how to create a better world (this one is usually even better after a few drinks), etc.

I think CS is about sharing experiences much more than simply sharing an accomodation, so I am definitely ready to share a lot of these
