I am a keen traveler and constantly on the search for new adventures but looking to be experience different cultures and lifestyles from a locals point of view. I really enjoy meeting and socialising with different people, going out also quite happy chilling on a beach.

Finding the positive in everything is always my goal and being openminded, honest and having fun is my way of doing that.

I'm currently travelling down California for three months and staying in all sorts of accommodation from hostels, inns and i'm also doing some worktrade. I've always heard great things about couchsurfing and the hosts so thought i'd give it a go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to see meet awesome people, see awesome places and have awesome adventures as I make way down the beautiful West coast of California and into Mexico and beyond. I don't have a time limit for this trip and want to make the most of every experience.

Interests

I'm fairly easy-going but equally active, I enjoy socialising, partying and music as much as I enjoy relaxing on a beach, meditation and doing yoga. I've always had am interest in cooking and enjoy making healthy, clean meals which taste just as good as they are in nutrition, this ties in with being keen runner and swimmer (healthy body = healthy mind) Environmental conservation is a huge part of my life and always has been but I'm not a preacher, just support in every way I can. Including working with Sea Shepherd and Ocean Defender Hawaii.

Music, Movies, and Books

World, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Jazz and alternative music are what springs to mind but really, anything with a good beat and that I can dance too is great!

Really enjoy watching live music!

Not much a movie fiend but enjoy reading, love a good crime, mystery, sci fi but don't have a fave just yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

Part of the reason I joined Couchsurfing to keep learning and absorbing.

I've been working as a teacher/trainer 9-5 in Britain but now looking to start learning more about the world and people in it instead of teaching.
One of my biggest passions is conservation so i've been heavily involved in volunteering and conservation work :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, so that's always a bonus as I really enjoy it! I was a chef for 3 years developing loads of skills and knowledge in Vegan/vegetarian cooking (as I practice this diet) but also cook fish/meat.

I'm respectful and always happy to share any cleaning/duties around the house. I also value my own space and understand that others do too.

Hopefully, I can share a smile and a good time and stories with hosts.
