About Me

I love the being outdoors almost as much as I love tea and cake . Last Winter I have begun a journey running, camping and Couchsurfing my way around Britain's coast! I’ve travelled 1400 miles so far- aiming for the full 4500miles eventually! (NB. I run REALLY slowly, and mostly from pub to pub!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered couchsurfing this summer while riding my bike through Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands, camping and couchsurfing. I have had some wonderful experiences, meeting some fantastic and really welcoming people. I also couchsurfed for a couple of nights in Sydney early this year which was a wonderful experience!

Interests

The outdoors, reading, cycling, running, camping, dancing (though most people would call it flailing when I try!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a bit of a film-fiend! I LOVE them. Most genres, but I'm a bit shaky with horror. Favorite films have got to include: the Matrix series, most of Christopher Nolan's films, The Sting... I could go on for ever! I love reading novels, fantasy fiction at the moment but the classics too. I have a pretty random taste in Music, although I don't know an awful lot about it! I have been to see an odd mixture of live bands and festivals from Eminem to Sonisphere, and I've loved them all!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've got the travelling bug now, and have been really lucky to see some amazing places all over the world. I think cycling solo for 6 weeks through some of Europe a couple of Summers ago was pretty cool!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't think I've got anything in particular that I can teach but who knows? I can cook a few fab meals so maybe I can teach that?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm sociable, friendly, and really enjoy getting to know new people. I'm very easy going and don't find it a problem relaxing in unfamiliar settings. Not a hassle to live with and I fully respect other people's boundaries.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Philippines, Spain, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
