About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like making as many friends as possible while traveling!

Interests

I am interested in languages, specifically spanish, and travel. I am an actor and have experience both on stage and as an interactive street character. I love to read, write, and dance! I know some basic salsa and bachata. Enough to teach people with no experience or roll with the flow of of a more experienced leader. I also want to learn to surf, but I can't skateboard, rollerblade, or even ice skate(ironic because I live in Minnesota.) I'm always down for a hike, though I get out of breath kind of easily, so I hope you don't mind slowing down for me now and again. I've hiked up four different volcanos, so that's cool. I really love writing poetry and comedic fiction, but I'm definitely in the exploring stage with my writing, so I go all over the place in terms of genre and style. I love writing with other people! Collaboration is really fun and helpful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Hippocampus, Kendrick Lamar, The Avett Brothers, PRINCE, Mark Anthony, Prince Royce, Jidenna, and Laura Mvula.. I love rap, indie music, bluegrass, and never object to a little reggaeton.

Movies: How to Train Your Dragon, Mad Max, The Avengers, Romantics Anonymous.

Books: Harry Potter(3,6,7 especially), American Gods, The Brief Wondrous life of Oscar Wao, Everything by Khaled Hosseini, The Miracle of Running, Shadow and Bone Series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I organized a for youth by youth conference about Sex Trafficking that over 100 people attended. I was also a lifeguard, so I've saved some kids from drowning and taught others how to swim.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to fortune tell with tarot cards and palm reading.
I know some basic kickboxing, wrestling, and self defense techniques.
I know basic salsa and bachata and a bit more advanced swing dancing.
I have taken spanish for six years, so I can teach a bit about that.
I'm generally pretty good at giving advice.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share or teach the basics of anything I listed above. I'm down for making dinner or breakfast, though I'm not an amazing cook. I'm also both an introvert and an extrovert, so I don't mind a quiet night in reading and chatting a bit, nor would I object to dancing all night.
