About Me

"When I say I want to travel I don’t mean I want to stay at resorts and go on tours with tour guides or buy key chains from souvenir shops. I don’t want to be a tourist. When I say I want to travel I mean I want to explore another country and become part of it. I want to discover small coffee shops in Germany and Italy and France. I want to walk on beaches in Australia and browse the book stores of England. I want to hike the Great Wall of China and go cliff diving in Hawaii I want to meet people who are not like me, but people who I can like all the same. I want to take pictures of things and places and people I meet. I want my mind to be in constant awe of life on earth. I want to see things with new eyes. I want to look at a map and be able to remember how I was transformed by the places I’ve been to the things I’ve seen and the people I’ve met. I want to come home and realize that I have not come home whole but have left a piece of my heart in each place I have been. This, I think, is what is at the heart of Adventure and this is why I plan on making my life one. "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From my erasmus in Norway I discovered the ways to travel cheaply. I love to travel because I currently strongly feel the need to see what's out of my place: different habits, colors, smells. I love finding things and meet people that impress me, in their own and unique way.
Couch surfing is not just a cheap way to travel, but it can fit, hopefully, with the goal of the goals : experiencing, learning from everyone and... e n j o y.

It's the people you meet that make your day in my opinion. What do you think when you go to bed in the end of your day?

Interests

Photography, of what I like. Mainly details, people portraits, expressions. But don't try to push me taking pictures as a tourist just because I've got a camera.
Reading stuff of whatever kind (I always have something to read if I have 10 min spare time). Not to mention reading in the toilette.
Watching the sky.
Sleeping outside, camping life.
Laughing hard until you need to pee.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't reject any kind of music and I'm happy to discover new goods if you recommend something to me.
I listen to some Indie like The National, The Notwist, Ratatat (...)
Italian Indie: Tre allegri ragazzi morti, L'orso, Le luci della centrale elettrica
Natural, Melancholic like Olafur Arnalds, Sigur Ros (...)
and some insane clubbing (tamarro!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

See the Northern light or aurora borealis in Tromso (north of Norway)
Dog-sledge with dogs that shitted all the time.
Bouldering on natural rocks.
Diving in the Mexican cenotes (underground lakes with natural light).
Slept 15 hours in a row.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking italian food and also other nationalities plates. I love cooking. Especially cakes.
I can organize for you your next trip to Norway because you have to visit it. And if you already did it, do it again. Me too in fact.
Well I teach gymnastics but I like generally sport so we could have a hike, walk, climb something haha.
I like nutrition and food so I'm interested both in this scientific/ biological side so I study it on my own, and in this amazing social importance (Italians win by the way).

What I Can Share with Hosts

SMILES (for real !)
Good ears to listen to you.
A nice homemade meal.
Experiences and travel tricks.
