About Me
Hi! I’m Fran, a traveler from the US. I graduated from university last May, and now I’m traveling for a year in order to learn in alternative ways before I start a full-time job. So far I’ve been in Europe, Turkey, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Along the way I’ve worked in exchange for my accommodation, traveled alone and with old and new friends, and had truly amazing experiences.
To me the most important thing about traveling is learning about different cultures and opening my mind, and I love Couchsurfing for the opportunity to meet local people and learn about the experience of living in the places that I visit.
I studied political science and urban geography in university and I want to work in local-level political advocacy. I believe in making the world a better place starting with our everyday interactions and relationships and building from there to large-scale change. In my free time, I enjoy making ceramics, painting, spending time in nature, and practicing yoga, meditation, and reiki.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
