About Me
I love a good conversation, a hot beverage and pastries (preferably a combination of all three at once). People are endlessly fascinating to me, and I enjoy watching them just be. I am a lover of the uncool, and no, that's not code for hipster because I love things which may never be cool. Books are very important objects in my life. I reject the notion that there's a "right" way to do something because I think that the reason why some people never try anything is a fear of "doing it wrong", and that's really sad.
I'm on a mission to constantly, yet tentatively tease and test the limits of my comfort zone. A line from a poem by Brenda Hillman has stayed with me since I first read it:
"You should make yourself uncomfortable
If not you, who?"

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: This summer I fell in love with Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine" and I also immensely enjoyed Neal Stephenson's "Quicksilver" (#1 from the Baroque Cycle).
you could look me up on Goodreads for more about books I like/dislike: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/20158985-francesca
Music: The Beatles, and there are lots more random musicians/singers/bands I listen to occasionally, but I don't actively collect music. I do enjoy listening to it a whole lot though. Preferably easy listening stuff, with a nice acoustic guitar or piano solo interspersed with cliched easy-to-sing-along-to lyrics.
Movies: anything that has well-rounded characters and a half-decent plot.
