About Me
Hi there!
I'm Francesca, an Italian girl who is living in Belgium. I would like to become a comic artist, so I decided to move on from Italy to Belgium to know how does it works abroad.
I'm a curious, friendly person, who tries her best to have contact with other people despite being a bit of an introvert. That resolves in a great respect for individuous and their personal space, but also need and want to meet and listen to other people and their stories!
I love to share new things, experiences and point of view with new people around me, and I think that a great conversation with someone can be as energizing as a great meal!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I think it is a great way to get to know other people and their cultures, which is a base for my way of traveling.
When I visit a new city, I focus more on its life then the more "turistic" and static part of it: before going to any museum or visit any characteristic place I prefer have a walk and observe people, smell the air and even just hear the musicality of a forgein language...Feel the city, to sum up.
Couchsurfing coud be a great plus in that kind of experience, starting a city discover by where to stay too.
From the first time of my couchsurfing experience, it has always been a great way to feel something different about my journeys: meeting, keeping in contact, share new experiences, have a meal or a beer together...Those moments quickly became a great part of what made some of my trips special, and I hope that more are to come!
In addition, being quite the shy type, this could lead me to become a more extrovert person and help me be less socially awkward.
Interests
As I wrote before, I'm currently studying to become a comic artist: as a result, I tend to draw as much as I can. My favourite subjects are Nature and Animals, but I've recently started to draw some quick, real life sketches when I stop somewhere during my journeys (often people doing stuff more than buildings).
I'm a huge fan of litterature, comics and graphic novels (of course), films, animation (a looot) and any sort of media who is a great way to tell a story.
I'm currently discovering videogames, and I'm charmed by the way this media is starting to be a great way of communicate and tell touching intricate stories in a very simple way (*coff coff* Undertale *coff coff*)
I loove vegetarian and cooking, and cooking in general, even if I don't consider myself a vegetarian.
I'm also a cat addicted (as many, I know! :) ) and I love to play with dogs too.
However, I've a huge fear of beatles.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some drawing basics or we can share a dinner together (I can cook for you some italian dishes if you wanna try!) . In addition, I can practice with Italian, French and English if people are interested in learning these languages :)
As about learning, what matter to me is to be together in an experience and just talk, and know new people and their lifes and little struggles (if they want to anyway).
Everybody can be a great character for a story, even if sometimes it is difficult to figure it out by ourself! My great pleasure is to feel it with others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some knowledges on cooking, languages and animation films or series. I'm really found on discussions about books and way of thinking or living.
I can also draw something or someone in addition, why not ;)
As regards the "meeting"... I'm not sure I will find any host for my little town, but if there are I will be happy to show them around and have a little beer with them ;)
Also, I can do the same in Rome...When I'm there (during Christmas and Summer Holidays mostly). Feel free to ask!
