About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Becoming myself

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone! I'm Francesca and I'd be happy to share something of my life with you! I study contemporary History in Pisa and I'm currently doing an Erasmus of 6 Months in Heidelberg. I come from Viareggio (Tuscany) a small town near the sea! I really love to know about the world, cultures, different points of view and learning new languages. I love cooking for my friends (and for my guests, of course!), I can play guitar too, and I'm always glad to strump something, so if you ask me, I'll play something you like! I also love nature, good food and good company! I'm friendly and open-minded... I think I'm a gentle-girl :)

PHILOSOPHY

Happyness is a everyday's choise.

When I feel stressed, I think about a poem that I love so much, for its essential message: "Love" loves things for what they are:

"Es ist Unsinn
sagt die Vernunft
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe
Es ist Unglück
sagt die Berechnung
Es ist nichts als Schmerz
sagt die Angst
Es ist aussichtslos
sagt die Einsicht
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe
Es ist lächerlich
sagt der Stolz
Es ist leichtsinnig
sagt die Vorsicht
Es ist unmöglich
sagt die Erfahrung
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe" (Erich Fried)

"It's Nonsense", says Goodsense
It is what it is, says Love

"It's Misfortune", says Calculation
"It's nothing but Pain", says Fear
"It's hopeless!" Says Insight

It is what It is, Says Love

"It's ridicolous" says Pride
" It's careless" says Carefullness
"It is impossible" says Experience

It is what it is, says Love

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't describe in my poor English how much I love music, books ... and "Kill Bill"!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For Easter I've invited some friends at lunch in my place and I've cooked for 7 persons. It was really fun and relaxing. Lovely!

This summer (2015) I've traveled from Florence to Berlin by Bus! There I spent 4 days and I had such a great time! I rented a bicycle and got around the east side of the city! Then I moved to Nuernberg! Here I met people from Poland, Mexico, Nevada, Turkey, I drunk a liter of bier and I visited the city too. After that, I took a train to Munich: here I spent one afternoon talking with an egyptian girl who lives there. The last part of the trip: Munich- Florence by train again! :) Miles and miles away, different landscapes, people from every walk of life ...it was a real road trip!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the tricks for cooking a delicious "Pasta con zucchine"! It would be nice to make a language-exchange! I'm rather interested to learn German and make progress with my spoken English too! In my turn, I'd be glad to teach you a little in Italian :) I'm a student and I know very well Pisa by day and night, where we could go on w-end!

Viareggio is a seaside town and it's quite famous for its Carnival(usually on February). If you love nature, you can reach without problems some beatiful places for trekking, going across our mountains, the Apuan Alps! We're not also far from Pisa, Lucca (20/25 minutes by car and by train) and Florence (1 hour and half by train)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tea, biscuits, watching a film, drink beer, going for a walk, really, whatever!
