Hello Couchsurfers!
I was born in Palermo, Sicily, one of the biggest islands of the Mediterranean. I moved to Bologna to pursue my studies, and now I am a PhD candidate in the field of biochemistry and biotechnologies. Sounds nerdy? It is, and I love it, I'm totally into it. But there's more in my life besides great science: there's a whole world to be discovered, there's music to be played, movies to be watched, friends to meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was looking for cheap accommodations here and there and found Couchsurfing. I was a little bit hesitant at first, but I definitely wanted to try and test myself. So I did! And it was marvelous.
I like to go around by myself, but I found out that local people can give different insights. Same thing when I meet tourists in my birthland.
When you visit a country with local people it's totally another experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love music, especially rock music, but I kinda listen to every genre (well, almost). My favorite band is Pearl Jam, even though I got a fantastic tattoo that represents Led Zeppelin :)
