About Me
Ciao! My name is Francesca and I am an Italian living and working in Houston, Texas. I grew up in Rome, Italy, but I moved to the US when I was 25 for work. I am originally a nutritionist, but I am now a research coordinator at the Texas Medical Center (the biggest medical center in the world, did you know that?!).
Houston is home, and I have been exploring this city for a long time now. Honestly, I know this city better than many born and raised Houstonians. I live in a cozy apartment in the center of Montrose, which is one of the coolest neighborhoods in town. I'm really close to a beautiful park and there is plenty of bars and museums around. Public transportation is 3 minutes walking distance, bars and clubs are 10 minutes Uber drive away, as well as the Medical Center. I can guarantee, you won't find a better position than this one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been backpacking, hitch hiking , and traveling by train for many years when I was living in Italy. Wherever I had a friend living scattered around the country, I would have asked them to host me for the night. When a friend wasn't available, I would go camping where I would meet other travelers like me.
Most of my best memoirs are of those days spent traveling and knowing people from different backgrounds, real locals who could show me the best spots in town. I am here to return the favor and to contribute to the beauty of making new connections while traveling around.
Tbh, I’m also collecting karma points for when I’ll start my travel around all the US in 2022. So I hope we get along and become friends so that we can meet again somewhere in the country.
Plus, CouchSurfing is cheaper than a hotel! :)
Interests
Art, painting, house plants, movies, festivals and concerts.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We’ll share common spaces and the bathroom. Towels are available upon request. You are free to use any amenity and relax. Just behave as you were at home, but please be respectful of my spaces and privacy. Also, be mindful and keep the house tidy and clean as I would do the same in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
IMPORTANT / RULES:
I’m hosting travelers because I believe in the power of connections and friendship.
▶️ Couchsurfing doesn’t mean hooking up, and I would appreciate if you could keep it this way. If you think differently, I won’t judge you but I’d recommend you to look elsewhere because we can’t get along.
▶️ My home is tiny, so please put everything you use back in place when you have done with it. Load the dishwasher, keep your stuff in order.
▶️ The washer and dryer are shared with the condominium (we are 5 apartments). Be respectful and don’t leave your clothes in the washer/dryer all day.
