About Me

Hi there!

I'm Francesca, I'm half Italian and half Filipino, but grew up in Norway. In 2014 I moved to London for university and have stayed here since, apart from one year in Paris. I love to travel of course, and when I do I try to get the whole package - explore, eat good food, meet locals, do sightseeing and experience the nightlife. However, my favorite activity would probably be going on those long walks where you just wander aimlessly to soak up the atmosphere of a new place.

I would describe myself as laid-back, outgoing and friendly, and I love meeting and having conversations with new and different kinds of people. I also really like food - tasting, cooking and learning about it with new people.

I currently work as a Junior Data Scientist at a company that operates clean energy technology. I´ve chosen this path because I want to be part of the movement towards making energy more accessible in the face of growing demand globally, but also to make energy resources cleaner and greener so to reduce global fossil fuel emissions and increase sustainability.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love helping fellow travelers out, and I love looking for those cool and unique places and activities off the beaten track, and when I find them I love showing them off.

I'm on Couchsurfing as a guest because I think that hanging out with locals is the absolute best way to experience a place. I have had so much fun in the past with hosts and become friends with interesting people.

And perhaps most importantly, I really like the vibe of the community and I´ve met some really cool people through hosting and surfing.

Interests

I enjoy learning languages and learning new things in general, exercising, especially hiking, biking and swimming. I like cooking (especially vegetarian), and I'm an avid reader of all sort of genres.
