About Me

I am a young professional from Milan, Italy, where I've lived till I was 19. Then I moved to London to study History at the School of Oriental and African Studies and finally to Bangalore, India to work as a content writer. I am back in Europe now and am planning lot of short trips around the continent. Would be great to meet couchsurfing friends on the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I strongly believe everyone everywhere in the world can communicate despite cultural and linguistic barriers. So far my Couchsurfing experience has been more informal (i.e. staying at friends' of friends of friends) in three different continents - Africa, Europe, Asia. In my experience communication has always been beautiful, enriching even though me and the host would not necessarily speak the same language. And of course it's cheaper ;)

Interests

I like to learn, listen to stories, understand, and experiment. I like to try out things that involve unconventional body movement like circus (especially aerial disciplines), rock climbing, martial arts, and dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music I like depends on the mood, but generally I like to listen to instrumental music, reggae, and reggaeton. As for movies, unfortunately I'm too film-illiterate to be sure of my answer, but lately I've watched The Rockers and I've loved it. I love reading and again it's hard to chose my favourite. Among the ones I like most are 'The discovery of slowness' by Sten Nadolny, 'The selfish gene' by Richard Dawkins and a book on nutrition in Italian called 'La buona alimentazione' by and Indian author and nutritionist called Anna Powar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have managed to feel a local in places very different from each other. I haven't managed in London but I have in Bangalore and in Bwawani, Morogoro (Tanzania). I list this as the 'One Amazing Thing I've Done' because that's changed my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to learn pretty much everything. Really I love learning anything if the teacher is very passionate of what she or he does.
I can teach the languages I know (not many but still..), something of circus aerial disciplines, and Italian cooking!
I can share stories, information, and maybe contacts of the places I've been.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I usually travel with a very light bag, but I can share pretty much anything is inside which includes mainly clothes, books, and food.
I can share meals, times, and a few drinks and time for anything the specific situation will bring out.
