About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Studying Poltical Science in Hungary. Trying to see as much of Europe while I'm here as time allows!

ABOUT ME

I'm a political science student currently studying in Hungary. I love to travel both alone and with friends for company. I love food. When at home, cooking is usually what fills my free time (well, cooking or reading about cooking). I'm a badass impromptu dinner party hostess and on summer nights I love nothing more than to invite any friends in the neighborhood to stop in and eat a meal on my fire escape.

Interests

The usual things...politics, music, eating&drinking, seeing the sights, and meeting new people. I love to go out and see the night life of a town and would totally appreciate anyone who is willing to show me around in exchange for a drink or two.

I love to ride horses and my bike Annabelle Lee is like a person to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty much anything is okay by me. I listen to a lot of folk music and rap music. I also rock out to indie bands and singers like Belle and Sebastian, Of Montreal, and Feist.

Movies: Hm...I'm terrible at remembering which movies I like. The latest I've seen are The Reader and Inglorious Bastards and I thought that both of them were excellent.

Books: I feel like I never have time to read fiction anymore. Most of things I read are papers with long dull titles with the words nationalism, ethnicity, institutionalization, or democracy in it. However, the last book I read for fun was Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uluru, or Ayers Rock, in Australia was stunning. I was about fifteen when I saw it with my mother and sister and was very very skeptical beforehand about how impressive a large rock in the outback could be. I was happy to admit how wrong I'd been when I actually saw the rock in question.

The Vatican, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, taking a class on making marionettes in Prague with a master puppeteer, the top of Gellert Hill in Budapest. A million places.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain
