About Me
Update for surfers...we will be out of town until further notice (our turn to travel!!) so won't be available to host in Amsterdam. Cheers and safe travels !
Hello!
I am an Industrial Engineer, half Peruvian, half Italian, who happened to end up living in Amsterdam since early 2011. I found a job here and am quite happy in this city. I live here with my wife, Sandra, also Peruvian (she's a lawyer). We now call this wonderful city our home!
I love music (play guitar and I'm now learning Ukulele... also used to sing in a band, during business school). We both are very much into sports (I play squash, we both run and go to the gym as often as we can. I'm also a do-it-yourself by nature. Love my tools, must have them all!... friends used to call me "inspector gadget" or "McGyver". If you have anything to fix, assemble, repair... I'll probably be able to help!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and Sandra are in the middle of our first ever long trip (kind of an RTW) ... in the process of researching for it, I came across Couchsurfing. I had read about it before, but in all honesty never paid much attention. Now it sounds like a great opportunity to meet locals while we explore new countries. Of course, keeping our costs low will greatly help us be able to travel for longer!

Music, Movies, and Books
If you see my iPod, you'll think I'm nuts... I have everything... from Classical to Reaggeton. :)
Books... many...... I loved "Caballo de Troya" by J.J Benitez as well as "Perfume", by Patrick Süskind,
And Movies... too many to count... probably La Vita e Bella amogst the top ones. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the privilege of going to Iasi in Romania, with a group of colleagues from Nike (my employer at the time of writing this profile), to work with street kids for several days. We organized several several activities for them (mainly sports-related). Was extremely rewarding!
Teach, Learn, Share
Not sure what to put here.... what could I possibly teach? ... hmm... Spanish, Squash, basics of Ukelele/Guitar, working with tools, preparing cocktails... MS Excel? :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Other than our life's adventures, I can probably help sharing a lot about Peru and The Netherlands, in case you are planning to visit!.... and also, as said before, I'm quite handy / "DIY"... so if you need some help at home, putting together stuff, repairing things , etc etc etc, I can most likely help. I can also make some good cocktails or mix songs to put a god party together (I always say I'm a frustrated DJ AND Bartender :). If you need running mates or a singer for your music band... we're up for that as well! We can cook some decent peruvian dishes as well! :)
