About Me

Hello :) I'm Francesco, a 25 yo italian guy. I was born in Matera (Italy) and I grew up in a close city. When I was 19 I moved to Rome for 3 years, studying psychology at Uni. In 2017 I spent 6 months for study in Coimbra , a student city of Portugal, and 3 months in Lisbon doing volunteering. I graduated in March 2018 and then I spent 3 months in Barcellona working in a hostel. In October 2018 I moved to Pavia, the city where I live now, for starting a master in Psychology and Neuroscience and here I also started to practise capoeira.
I am vegetarian and I really care about environmental issues. I like psychical activities and I love every form of art.
I have changed city quite a lot and I also have travelled quite, in every place I had and unique experience and I met so many people from all over the world. From each of those experience I learnt a lot of things and I collected beautiful feelings and memories. Right now I have friends living in different places in the world and I hope I’ll visit all of them one day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is very innovative social network, maybe one of the best ways to travel in the 2000s. I like to start travels alone but I love stay with people, so couchsurfing can give me the opportunity to meet people in the different places where I go and I want do other people have the same chance opportunity it if they came in my city. I also think that's is very important for us all that people from different parts of world meet and know each others; exchanging ideas is the most important thing to create a world we would living in. Exchange is always growing up in multiple direction: you both learn new things about yourself and others, so I hope to meet people give me the opportunity to change my prospective and broaden my horizons. I think the only way to know ourselves is through the others. Never stop learning.

I stopped using this platform after my first try and just now I’m using it back. My experience on CF is limitate by very positive: I was hosted in Munich by a lovely girl and I use CF to hang out with some people in Berlin.

Interests

I like to travel, meet people and their lifestyles, improving and learn languages, I love so much art, music, nature, the sea and sun, the good people, healthy and tasty food always accompained with good beer or glass of wine. I like to visit museum or staying relaxed in a park and I like talks about politics, technology and future. I rather playing sports than watching them, but.. well I'm not a champion! I'm really interested in human min and its. power, in the society, in the individual and cultural differences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate every kind of music that make me feel something (called good music). My favourites kind of music are: HipHop, Reggae, Goa, Elettronic and every kind of live music. My favourite film is Waking Life, and I think the best director is Tarantino.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with hosts my time, my ideas, my culture and my personal experiences and for sure I can give them back the opportunity to have an host wherever I will live. I can cook italian dishes or teach some italian.
