About Me
Somebody much wiser than myself once said that life is what happens while one is busy making plans. We'll see what the world's got in store.
Born on one very hot morning early in the month of August, early 1970's, Francesco Calazzo has been, as per his own words, on a strict diet of pasta and Rock’n’Roll from a very early age. FC’s career started early on his adolescence when he began spinning records for a famous Italian radio-station ("Radio Citta’ Futura" in Naples). He was just 15 y/o and many times he would skip school either to comment "on-air" his favorite music or to strum guitar in some local, and very obscure, garage (basement would be more to the point here) band.
At 18, after countless rock-bands with names that rigorously started with the article "THE", he went to Law School but a couple of years later he decided that his heart, and mind, was into the fine art of "journalism" and went to pursue a formal education in a country that he loves: the USoA. Four years later and tenfold wiser, but not enough it would later seem, he became an alumni of the Hunter College at City University of New York (CUNY), in NYC.
From then on, many a day-job have been shaping up his "curriculum" a/k/a "professional path through life". He has been an advertisement-industry whiz-kid and a Business Communicator for important corporations, an Environmental industry consultant and, currently, an EU civil servant.
Having married a Frenchwoman, very possibly his true "piece de resistance" along with his daughters Lily-Sun Francesca Ninette and June-Marie Suzanne, you could easily run into our own FC in Paris, besides the more obvious NYC, Hoboken, New Orleans, Milan, Bruxelles and Napoli. Shall you spot him anywhere near you, buy him a bottle of Chateau Petrus and drink it with him, he will most likely indulge in anecdotes and music-tales of debauchery from the time when he acted as the US correspondent for the music-magazine Buscadero and some other Italian publications. Anyway it goes, you are guaranteed a jolly good time ... and a good drink too!
