Hi all,

My name is Francesco, I am Italian and I grow up in Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.

After completing my high school education I moved to Edinburgh in Scotland to study English while working. Living in the vibrant and multi-ethnic capital of Edinburgh I developed a strong interest in Spanish language and Latin American culture which led me to traveling through Central America and spending 6 months living in Mexico and a further 14 months living in Madrid.

In 2016 I returned to the UK; since 2022 I work remotely in flexible hybrid mode meaning I spend 50% of the year working from office and 50% of the year working from home, and this has enabled me to live between the UK and my hometown in Sicily.

These experiences helped to broaden my cultural awareness and travelling in different countries has enabled me to adapt quickly to different situations. I am very kind, an easy-going and extroverted person who love life and travelling of course!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am truly passionate about travelling, I believe couchsurfing is a great idea! CS empowers people from different cultures to meet easily having fun discovering the beauty of our beloved planet heart all together.

I was very fortunate to travel from young age and I've visited almost everywhere in Europe. I have travelled the US with a campervan, I have been sailing in the Mediterranean Sea and riding a motorbike for 200 km in Vietnam.

Since the pandemic I haven't been able to experience travelling the old way as much as I used to and I would like to visit new places, learning more cultures, share my experiences and develop new friendships in a multicultural environment .
