Born in Livorno,Italy in 1978. I started playing harmonica when i was 16 and Tenor sax when i was 18. My influences back then were more or less the same as today...mostly Black music .
Starting from the Blues,the usual suspects, Little Walter,Muddy Waters,Howlin’ Wolf,Sonny Boy Williamson II, James Cotton,The Ford Blues Band.
Pass through the Funk from the 70's ( like Herbie Hancock,Tower Of Power,James Brown).I like when jazz meets rock,(like Miles Davis, Mike Stern, Brecker Brothers).I love Soul music from the 60's like Stax e Capitol Records artists (Otis Redding,Wilson pickett,Sam and Dave,Isaac Hayes),the old Ska (Laurel Aitken,The Skatalites,Toots & the Maytals),Reggae and obviously the Jazz standard ( like John Coltrane,Grant Green,Jimmy Smith) up to Indie,Mediterranean music and Psychedelic..
