I'm Francesco an Italian student from Rome,my hometown and the place where i'have been living since i was born. I have always hoped to go living abroad for a while to meet other people,know other cultures, learn languages and, why not, have my first working experiences. I'm actually at the third year of university and i'm going to get the bachelor degree, after that i think i'll have a gap year to give my self the time to satisfy my wishes and find my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Maybe it's not a merit or maybe it's why i'm still not working , but i always try to do things in the cheaper way it's possible (expecially traveling),so when a friend of mine spoke me about Couchsurfing i thought i had to stop wasting money and time and became a surfer to ride couches around the world!

I hate the classical form of tourism ,and, overall, i hate being seen as a tourist. Why? Because tourists ( the ones walking around armed with a fotocamera and a city map) never enjoy their journeys , because of cues, people trying to cheat on you and gudge you basing on stereotypes . Visiting a place means first of all coming in touch with locals and local culture ,breaking country and mental borders to live and share experiences as members of the same community.

I'm always willing to share my time , experiences, points of view and anything else i can. Help if you want to be helped!

Interests

I like nature and all the different forms of art, expecially music. In my free time i like mixing music, that's why i try to change in the time and be always informed on new tendences and music coming out. When i go out ,wherever i'm in the world, i always look for places where i can listen to electro music, dance and have a good time; whereas when i'm at home i like to chill with reggae and hip-hop. So,every moment of my life it's marked by a different rythm and kind of music, even if sometimes it's only playing in my mind.

I'm not exactly the kind of person you can call an athlet and to be honest i have never found my favourite sport, but i enjoy playing tennis and basketball in sunny days.

As all respectable Italians i love food and ,most of all, i love eating it, in every form situation and place! I'm always in search of new tastes and specialities. I'm a pasta addicted and i can say, without exaggerating, that i'm pretty good in cooking it so i'd be glad to cook it for you if we'll have the occasion. Sharing a meal, it's not simply sharing food, but it's a possibility to know each other better and have a good time together.

I love traveling and, I think it's the best way to open our minds and become a better person by facing new cultures,knowing people and sharing different points of view.
