About Me

CURRENT MISSION
––
Enjoying life / Travel to express my infinite desider for freedom

ABOUT ME
––
Hello ;)

My name is Francesco, I'm 30 years old and I live in the beautiful city of Lecco, a small place in the world which I absolutely love surrounded by lake and mountains.

I consider myself an open minded person, I love traveling so much and I enjoy meeting new people. I have travelled a lot around Europe and outside of it and I like the idea of getting in touch with others, especially if you have a nice story to share ;)

I currently work remotely as a freelance web developer. I love my job a lot and I have a lot of flexibility. Before COVID I used to travel somewhere in the world every month and work from abroad.

From my city you'll be able to easily go by train to Milan or Bergamo center (40 minutes), Como and other cities around the lake as Bellagio or Varenna (20 minutes). My house is 10 minutes on foot from the train/bus station and 20 minutes from the main city centre. There's not so much to do in Lecco city center but you'll definitely appreciate a walk along the lake or a good view from up in the mountains. If you like the idea I will be happy to go with you for simple but amazing walk in the mountains near my house.

P.S. Unfortunately I don't have a car :-(

THINGS I CAN DO FOR YOU

1) If you want to go for a walk in the mountains or at the lake near my house, I'll be more than happy to come and show you around

2) If I'm available hosting people, I will offer my room to you and I will sleep on the sofa (which I have to say, it's pretty comfortable as well!). I will try to make you feel comfortable and let you spend a good time in my town. If you need a lift to the station, I will try to organize with my brother and make you feel relaxed

3) I'm always up to go out for a walk / drink while you talk about your travels

––––

3 RULES IF YOU WANT TO STAY AT MY PLACE

1) I will not host you more than 2 nights. Please don't ask me to host you more than this or act like you don't know about this, my house is very small and I need some privacy.

2) I'll be more than happy to invite you out for a drink and I'll probably offer it to welcome you in my city! But don't assume I'll pay things for you, I don't like people who take advantage of my kindness.

3) Respect my place. My house is not a hostel or your own house, ask if you want something to eat, don't pretend to stay in my house/room all day long without saying a word. I host people with CS because I'd like to interact with you!

Sorry, but in the past not all the people who visited me acted in the best way, and I want to make sure I'll have only good experiences with CS :)

If you read this, send me a message writing "magnificent" somewhere in your message and I will understand that you read and agreed with this. I will be happy to host you if its a good moment for me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing a few times with some friends in summer 2014 interrailing through Europe and I hosted a few people in my house. It was a good experience! Unfortunately my house is very small :(

Interests

I love traveling with my friends but I also like the possibility to leave everything behind and go solo traveling meeting new people on my way, go to the adventure and enjoy what it comes to me!

  • travelling
  • cinema
  • tv series
  • meeting new people
  • web design
  • musicals

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies in my house or at the cinema with friends, watching tv series on Netflix, I'm a big fan of U2 (I go to many concerts) and I love reading a lot,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 5 weeks in Papua New Guinea in a local community, met amazing people and lived an unforgettable experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could give you advises about travelling super cheap! like my 100 € Milan-Montreal a/r or my 90 € Milan-Baku a/r flights :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My house is small but it's quiet and it's quite new. There is a living room with a very comfortable sofa, a table and a large television, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a quite big bedroom where I usually sleep and work.

If you plan to stay in my house for a couple of days you can stay in my bed and I will sleep on the sofa. You can use my computer, wifi and the printer located inside my bedroom for your needs.

Please don't send me requests for more than 2 nights because I won't accept them.
