About Me
Hello! I'm KitKat, a gal who left a previous high-stress, high-consumption lifestyle of the Western working world to explore alternative narratives in reconnecting with nature, sustainable living, reconnecting with self, and creating more whimsy in the world :).
I like movement (ecstatic dance, 5 rhythms, somatics, acrobatics — things that tap into our innate energy and move us from thinking from the head (which I so often do!) to connecting with heart and intuition); creating and maintaining nurturing, safe spaces with people; community building; horticulture; herbal medicine; art; and food (raw foods, fermentations, plant-based dishes)
If I’m applying to surf on your couch, I’m likely looking for a friend in a new place! Let’s check out an ecstatic dance together, share a meal together, make some art together, or work on our individual projects together. When it feels right for your energy and my energy, of course :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like novelty. I like stories. I like random adventures. I like applying for adventures and seeing what happens.
Maybe you live here and I want to learn something from you, or feel a little warmth in this new place.
Maybe I’m in between gigs/places for a few days, and I’d rather use money to share experiences with a new friend, than on a box with a bed in it.
Maybe there’s something about your profile that I want to know more about.
Maybe I’m a little lonely from solo-backpacking and want a friend or platonic cuddlemate for a brief few days :).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Bikecamping through Taiwan. Put all of my stuff on the back of a road bike, rode along the coast.
- Artist Residency at a community center in Cambodia, drawing murals and mandalas for the first time, expressing feelings through art
- Lived in a monastery in India for a month, alongside ordained nuns, curious what it would be like to take up vows, because my life is kind of monastic.
- Lived in the literal Amazonian jungle, helping an ayahuasca medicine center take care of people with all sorts of life questions.
- Lots of spiritual shopping on the quest for happiness and meaning. Yoga school in India, meditation retreats, psychedelics, soon Tai chi school.
- Ample time doing nothing and encouraging people to enjoy doing-nothingness :)
