Hi there!

I was born and raised in upstate New York, and after graduating from university in December of 2014 decided to move to Spain for a bit and work as an Au Paire. I currently live in Huesca, in the Aragon region of Spain. I work during the week but have weekends to explore and plenty of vacation time which I intend to spend traveling throughout Europe.
I enjoy sports, really anything outdoors, and am currently training for a half-marathon. I prefer casual social gatherings as opposed to late Spanish nights out but am generally open to all sorts of adventures.
I'm a vegetarian... but have become less strict since arriving in Spain. While I don't intend to give up my life style forever, for the moment it makes life easier for my host family and allows me to experience more traditional Spanish cuisine. I'm always up for meeting people; I love hearing about different cultures, different philosophies and stories of travels. While I can't accept guests at the moment I am more than willing to meet for a coffee or introduce you to Huesca if you ever find yourself here!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's an awesome way to get to meet people and experience different cultures in a short amount of time, while also being able to share a piece of my own. I love food and of course, the best way to find the best food in a new place is from the people that live there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a music fanatic, sure I like listening to it but am just fine with whatever is on the radio. My favorite book ever is Wally Lamb's 'She's Come Undone' and am not much into TV but when I do watch it the channel is most likely turned to the food network.

Teach: from authentic Lao/ Thai food to healthy and some not-so-healthy baked goods... kitchen creativity is one of my past times. Mindfulness and empathy are extremely important to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've made 'Chicken Riggies' (without chicken) so technically just 'Riggies'... In three different countries so far. It's a dish from my hometown and would like to make it wherever else I can.
