About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn and enjoy

ABOUT ME

I'm a nice, reliable person.
I recently moved to Campinas, SP, and expect to have a great time here.

I have a great time partying, meeting new people but also reading some book, listening to music or chating in a calm place.
I love to travel! Traveling around the world has been my goal in life since I can remember!

PHILOSOPHY

Here are the crazy ones; the misfits; the rebels; the trouble-makers; the round pegs in the square holes; the ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted and was hosted mostly when I was travelling around Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly, it has been positive. I've met really nice people in most cities I've been and went to places that if was there only with turists I know I woul never see.
I only had two bad hosts that thought I was looking for 'something else', maybe beacuse I was a girl travelling alone. But I left their places and found excellent hosts later.

Interests

I'm interested in seeing the whole world, meeting lots of people and cultures equal or different from mine (that's so nice when someone makes you rethink the way you see things). I really enjoy people who are passionate for their beliefs, I enjoy discussions (peaceful ones).
I also love to learn typical dishes from other country, I love cooking! But mainly, I love learning anything new!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I enjoy all the kind of dramatic movies with a surprise ending like Atonement, they're my favourite. Almost all the movies of Almodovar, Scorcese and Kubrick some latin movies, all the classics! One of my goals in life is watching all the 1000 movies of the book "1000 movies you must watch before dying". I'm a big fan of cinema.Music: I love rock, jazz, blues, samba... the kind of music that's more to listen than to dance. I like radiohead, the fratellis, the libertines, beirut, móveis coloniais de acaju, raul seixas, chico buarque, interpol, chuck berry, beatles(huge fan)... I could be here the hole day, but I'm getting tired.
Books: I love reading so much! Some of my favourite writers are José Saramago, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Oscar Wilde, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Umberto Eco, Tolstói, Fiodor Dostoievski and some others that'll certainly ask myself why I forgot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was in a boat trip to an island next to Florianopolis, the sun was setting and I was having this awesome time with some friends. Then, two dolphins appeared out of nowhere and began to play with each other in front of us. I can't explain what I felt in that moment. There's also a camping in Ernesto Alves( a very small city, it's not even in google maps) that some friends and I climbed a mountain to see the sun raising and when it did we appalaused. It will be in my mind forever!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach portuguese and something about brazillian culture. It's hard to list because sometimes you teach and learn without noticing and that's awesome!Learning about other cultures is my main goal. I think after you know other culture, you respect that and you realize we are not so different, after all.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
