Overview
About Me
I live in Seattle Washington and travel North America busking as a one-man-band and also playing banjo in the duo Tsunami Piñata.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travel, but I don't love tourism. I like to travel by busking, woofing, working, volunteering, and couchsurfing. I want to make friends along the way, and when houses are open to strangers, friendship is likely.
Interests
Old maps, new maps, beer, fermentation in general, history, alternative history, good cats, bad cats, gardens, farms, blah blah blah blah blah.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is the stuff that's being made by people here right now! There's so much canned music everywhere and a lot of it is mighty nice, but singing a song with other people in the room is what music is all about. Also I like Indian classical music and Klezmer and Celtic and prog rock and I could list genres all day...I'm maybe a little too into music.....
I don't watch movies too much anymore because they directly compete with my practice time. But I like silent movies quite a bit.
"Debt: The First 5,000 Years" or any book by David Graeber. Also Oryx & Crake, a Confederacy of Dunces, Wind in the Willows, Animal Farm.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I got a bunch of "Burn in Hell" protestors to leave Seattle hempfest by setting up next to them and singing "Satan Gave me a Taco" by Beck.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you to play banjo or weed your garden.
