I am a high school teacher from Melbourne, Australia. Currently taking one year's leave (sabbatical) from work to explore South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such a great way to meet people whilst travelling, and it is incredibly fun. I love meeting and spending time with locals. It makes the experience of travelling much more enriching.

Interests

Music - I am a guitarist. I can play a some piano and drums as well. Love playing with other musicians.
Sport - Football, Australian Football, and many others. I play basketball and futsol.
Travelling.
Español - Cada pais me visito, aprendo mas español. Puedo hablar, pero necisito practicar mas.

Music: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, AC/DC, The Black Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Kelly. Many other genres as well.
Books: Anything that involves travel/adventure. I am currently reading Motorcycle Diaries. Love Harry Potter, and 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night'. Plenty of others that I cannot think of right now.
TV: Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, in Peru. Machu Picchu itself was an amazing place, but for me, the four days of walking through mountains, forests and valleys with good people was my highlight.
