Overview
About Me
I am a graduate student living in Houston working on my PhD. I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania, did a stint as a fisherman in Alaska, and now I am a scientist in Houston. I will be graduating soon and have an extra room since my roommate moved out, so for the next couple of months it'll just be wasted space.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be graduating soon and have an extra room since my roommate moved out, so for the next couple of months it'll just be wasted space. Honestly I joined to get a place to crash on the cheap for a European vacation but I think the general principle is a good idea and could be fun to host people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Post-rock, classic rock, indie, pretty much anything but country or rap
Movies: Typical guy movies, explosions and such.
Books: Clive Cussler novels are my favorite, as well as Crichton and Cook. Again, explosions and such.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An impromptu trip to Alaska with no money and no plan.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not really sure what this section is asking, but I know all about biology, particularly molecular and biotechnology. I can tell you all about any of the (few) places I've been, as well as the hot spots in Houston.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, although I'm definitely more the listening type.
Alcohol
Pretty much anything I have on me, I am pretty open about sharing.
