About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To evolve my being... To learn to live.

ABOUT ME

The esoteric one...
Recent graduate of the University of Southampton in English and Philosophy, and now living in Ecuador teaching English as a foreign language! Likes a drink or two (or ten) now and again, but is a friendly and sociable drunk, and is also friendly and welcoming in those rare moments of sobriety.

PHILOSOPHY

Existentially concerned mainly, and ethics as well. First of all there are absolutely no absolutes: you should always be open to changing your mind. No one can tell you how to live, but you should both learn to love your fate and seize the day: Viva la Paradox!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this party, but will dive in soon enough!

Interests

I like to live, really. Eating, drinking, reading, playing, evolving, sport(ing?), learning, teaching, observing cultures, participating in traditions new and old, meeting those interesting people out there - with similar opinions and different. I enjoy sharing ideas, especially the art of intellectual argument. But don't be fooled, I enjoy physical challenge as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a wide eclectic taste ranging from classical, to progressive metal, to mariachi, to funk rock, to hardcore.

Films: anything thought-provoking, interesting or enjoyable. And sometimes explosions are good.

Books: classics, Philosophy both famous and not, science fiction, fantasy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible experiences recently were realising that I'd met a few intensely extraordinary people. That's the real aesthetic experience in this world. Not to say that the world isn't beautiful as well, I've seen some amazing things like the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, Mexico, and the natural wonder of the Isla de Corazon, Ecuador.
