About Me

[The time of each person is valuable and irrecoverable resource. If you confirm your stay with me and for any reason you cannot come, PLEASE notify me. It is good courtesy]

Hi there!
I'm Francisco, from Chile. I was born in Valparaiso, a beautiful port city in my country. Following my dreams and looking for new adventures, I moved to Auckland, NZ.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We must learn, share and respect other people. Life is short and unique, the world is one and we are millions. Instead of promoting consumerism and selfishness, let's bet by the union and fraternity :)
It is why I want to meet people and show them my city. Also, improve my english and share new experiencies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music Lover! I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden, Ghost and Symphony X, but I also like 70-80-90's music, some pop rhythms, symphonies and folk music.
Maybe my favorite genres are sci-fi and fantasy. However, I like almost any type of movie as long as have a good plot. It's so hard to say which are my favorite movies, but Star Wars and Back to the Future are in my top ten (in certain way, they marked my childhood).
I must confess that I am a bit lazy to read, I mean, I love read a good story, but sometimes take me ages start to read a new book. Whatever, 1984, The Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit, Cien años de Soledad and The Odyssey are in my Top Ten. Fantasy, adventure and science fiction, political fiction are part of my favorite subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learn how to fire a howitzer in the army! (It was an amazing and powerful experience)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you (or practice) to speak spanish (castellano).
I can teach you to cook some dishes from here (I love the cuisine).
I can teach you some self defense.
I can teach you to dance (a little bit of salsa maybe and more).
I can teach you about our wines.
I can teach you about our country, our history and our maners.

Also:

I learn (and improve) my english level.
I would learning about your typical dishes.
I would learning about your maners.

I would share my world vision.
I can share my knowledge in dentistry too :)
