About Me

Hey there! I’m Francisco, a 23-year-old medical student with a big passion for sports, adventure, and traveling. Whether it's hiking up a mountain, diving into the ocean, or exploring a new city, I’m always up for an adventure. I love to stay active and try new things, and I'm always on the lookout for my next big challenge!
One of the best parts of traveling for me is meeting new people and learning about their cultures and stories. I believe that every person you meet has something unique to teach you, and I'm excited to make new friends from all around the world. I’m an open-minded and easygoing person who enjoys good conversation, laughter, and making memories with new friends.

As a med student, I'm also passionate about health and wellness, and I'm always happy to share tips or have discussions about anything related to medicine and healthy living. When I’m not studying or traveling, you can find me playing sports, going on outdoor adventures, or planning my next trip.

Looking forward to meeting you and sharing some great experiences together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe it's an amazing way to connect with new people and immerse myself in different cultures. For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places; it's about experiencing them in a meaningful way. Staying with locals and sharing stories is a great way to make my travels more authentic and memorable.
I think Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to go beyond the usual tourist experience and really understand the heart of a place through the eyes of those who live there. Plus, meeting new people and forming friendships around the world is something I truly value. I’m excited to learn from others, share my own experiences, and create incredible memories along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. I love how it portrays the beauty and hardship of life in rural China, as well as the connection between people and the land!! It’s a powerful story that captures the essence of human nature and the struggles and triumphs of everyday life - a story I will take for my life
When it comes to movies, La La Land is at the top of my list. I’m a big fan of how it blends beautiful cinematography, great music, and a heartfelt story about dreams, love, and the pursuit of passion. I also really enjoyed The Shawshank Redemption—its themes of hope, friendship, and resilience make it a timeless classic that I always find inspiring.
As for music, I’m a huge fan of bands like Evanescence and Linkin Park, and I also enjoy Eminem’s powerful lyrics and unique style. I love the energy and emotion that these artists bring to their music. At the same time, I appreciate a good pop song and enjoy listening to a variety of genres, depending on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had was being a part of the student association at my university for a year. During my time there, I had the opportunity to enroll in several incredible projects that were both scientific and sports-related. It was a fantastic experience where I got to meet so many inspiring people who were just as passionate about making a difference as I am.
All of the work we did was purely voluntary, which made it even more rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I’d love to share what I know about medicine and health since I’m a medical student. If you’re interested in science or how the human body works, I’m always up for a chat! I’m also into sports and staying active, so I’d be happy to share some tips on fitness and wellness.
Learn: I’m always eager to learn about different cultures and languages. I love hearing about other people's life experiences and learning from their perspectives. I’m also interested in learning some cooking tips or recipes from your local cuisine!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I believe in making the experience enjoyable and memorable for both of us! I can share some fun and interesting conversations about my experiences and I’m always happy to chat about science, health, and wellness.
I love to cook, so if you’re up for it, I’d be delighted to prepare a meal from my home country or try out a new recipe together.
