About Me
Hi there I'm Francis and I live in Mexico City with my partner Bella and our little dog Pina. I'm from New Zealand and have lived here in D.F. for 1 and a half years, Bella is Mexican and has lived here in D.F. for 3 years (she's originally from the coast, a beach kid like me) and Pina is from Oaxaca and has lived here in D.F. for almost 2 years.
We all speak Spanish and English, including Pina ;) so if you want to practice some Spanish you will have lots of opportunities.
It would be great to host you here in Mexico City and maybe even show you some of the sights. Our house is in an awesome location for exploring the city with the main boulevard Reforma just two blocks away. There is a metro station about 5 seconds walk from the front door which makes it easy to get around anywhere. Its only 5 pesos to go anywhere in the city! Apart from that Chapultepec park is only ten minutes walk away, and there you have the castle and lake and heaps more.
We are welcome to all types of people from all over the world, the more different the better.
We are not vegan or vegetarian but if you are we would love to host you and maybe we could learn some vegetarian/vegan recipes! It is always nice to try different ways of eating.
We have a little balcony that guests can use for smoking if they want.
Any questions just send me a message.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I get a buzz out of meeting new people and feel that meeting travelers always helps me discover something new about the place that I'm living and maybe even about myself. It's great to get that little kick to get out of the comfort zone even though I'm still living in the place I know well. I find that through meeting new people and showing them the place I live I often see it with a new perspective.
Interests
I'm always interested in trying something new, or learning something new. For example if you know any good games I would love to learn them and then maybe I can teach you some of the games I've collected on my travels.
