À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

From Ecuador (South America), living in France, and also lived in Sweden for a few months. My passion is to travel the world and discover its wonders, and learn from beautiful people, places and unforgettable experiences.

Anyway I'm looking forward to meet people here, there and anywhere !

I'm living with my girlfriend Ananda in an old small ski station in the Alps (which doesn't have much snow anymore during winters due to climate change), in a valley called the Champsaur, not far from Gap. Actually we met thanks to couchsurfing ! She's a musher (she works with sled dogs), and has lots to tell about dogs and animals in general.

Our house here is pretty cosy (a garden with view on the mountains) and if I've got the chance it'll be my pleasure to host you, make a meal or two, go out for some beers (or typical french wine) and show you around the Champsaur valley ! I'll be happy to help you discover the place, the History, the culture...

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I've hosted people and been hosted, and I look forward to keep on doing it.

All the people I've met here are wonderfull, what can I say ... let's all keep the spirit of couchsurfing alive !

Centres d'intérêt

Travelling (especially trekking and hitchhiking), meeting new people, sports, music, typical food, etc ...

Nature. I've often lived in big cities (luckily not anymore), and although I love the fact that there's always stuff to do and people to see in cities, I love travelling to the countryside and the wilderness. We all need to breathe some fresh air once in a while, and get back to nature.

I like cooking (sharing typical ecuadorian, french and now swedish food) and also learning new recipes. Food is a very important part of the culture, yes, you are what you eat. I'm not vegetarian nor vegan myself, but I can adapt to your preferences and make some vegetarian, hallal, kascher, vegan, and healthy food.

I'm very fond of music (see below haha), and even the worst days can be cheered up by a nice song !

Dancing ! It's the language of the body. Whether it's salsa-bachata or other latin dances, folk dances, I'm interested. I tryed tango only once, it seemed really hard but I'd like to give it a try too.
A few years ago, one of my flatmates was a trumpet player for several Jazz bands, and we lived with a Swing and Lindy Hop dance teacher for a few months

I like speaking to people, no matter if it's small talk, having a blast or deep conversations.

I like going out of my confort zone, so I'm willing to try new activities and experience different stuff !

-Metal, I'm very fond of it (from the first Black Sabbath passing by Metallica and Megadeth, Dream Theater to more contemporary Rammstein, Nightwish, Disturbed, Stratovarius, Sabaton ... and of course folk metal !). As I lived in Sweden I'm quite familiar with scandinavian death (In Flames, Ensiferum, At The Gates) and black metal (like Burzum), I love it !

and much more of whatever's worth reading!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Some :

Living for a few months in Göteborg, Sweden. It was amazing to discover Scandinavia with all its landscapes, culture, languages and people.

In the summer 2016 I did a month-long hitchhiking (and couchsurfing) roadtrip from North to South across Europe through Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and France, from Göteborg to Toulouse. Best experience ever, I met so many nice people and saw so much different things. Never before had I pushed my limits and jumped into adventure like this ! I'm writing about it and hope to give shape to all my memories =)

Trekking in the Mallorca mountains for a week, and then again a few years later through Corsica !

A couple crazy trek/hitchhike roadtrips in the French southwest,

Going pretty much everywhere in Ecuador (Amazon forest, Andes mountains, Plains, Galapagos),

Woodstock festival in Poland, just amazing !,

Camping in the Snow in Norway,

and much more.

I intend to keep on travelling, to discover many more places and people. I plan on doing some more trips, and anyway who knows where I'll get the chance to go...

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Anything !

Sharing your personal experiences and culture is easy, give it a try =)

I've been a volunteer camp supervisor and intend to become a teacher someday (update : I already am) so yeah, I hope I'm a good listener and I like speaking in public.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Sharing is caring ! Anyone here is a new member of this home, and we share our food, meals, discussions, music and more. Welcome !
