About Me

Hello !

Here is a bit about me.
Passionate about sports and travel, I discovered the joy of traveling with my grandfather, who accomplished to travel to more than 75 countries.
I made an objective to perpetuate his teaching and legacy, while discovering other places and culture my own way.
I am currently on a one year long trip in New Zealand - with a Working Holiday Visa. Through this journey, I want to discover places, people and culture while spending as much time as possible with local communities. So far, I managed that through hitchhiking and exchange work opportunities - such as WWOOFing and HelpX. After a month in a farm North of Auckland, I am now heading further South, with the objective to reach Wellington by the 5th of September. While hitchhiking to Wellington, I want to stop to a few places to meet local people and keep on exploring this beautiful country.
In the coming months, I also want to get a bike to discover the country while bikepacking. This would be something new to me, but I have been thinking about such an experience for a few years now and I believe it is now a wonderful opportunity to try it. I heard that the pace of bikepacking is often described as ideal - fast enough to make progress but slow enough to appreciate the surroundings. I also expect to meet locals this way and maybe get to exchange about this way of travelling.
Thank you for reading about me, and I hope to exchange with you soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Toulon, in France, to Amsterdam and back in 48h as part of a student challenge. Though many times can be considered as a great adventure, I particularly want to highlight that one, because it was probably the first travel experience where I got out of my comfort zone. I shared it with a fellow student friend and was able to connect with amazing people through all the rides that made this journey possible. Since then, I believe connecting and sharing moment with other people should be a core component of any travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and discovering new recipes and local specialties.
I really enjoy learning new languages and especially having the possibility to do language exchange discussions.
In the last years, I have also been reading and listening a lot about nutrition, training methodologies to improve running performances, travel adventures, and about food and cooking practices around the world.
Finally, since my arrival in New Zealand, I have been experiencing the life in farm and how to maintain garden and properties in a sustainable way.
I would love to learn and exchange more about any of those topics and I am also quite open to discuss any of your passion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to have a proper exchange and sharing moment with my hosts. I believe connecting with locals makes the travel experience reach another level of greatness and creates wonderful memories, potentially leading to genuine friendship.
I can gladly share nice meals. I love to cook, especially Mediterranean inspired vegetarian recipes.
I would also gladly play some board games, chess or card games, as this is an activity I really enjoy to do when I am with other people.
Finally, I can share a nice moment, with a cup of tea, talking about sport or travel adventures and ideas, and other topics of passion.
