About Me
Don't really have a home at the moment, but will gladly welcome you there once I do.
For a bunch of reasons that are better discussed over a beer or a scotch, I decided to somewhat flee the wreckage of my life back in Quebec, later April this year. 2023 was NOT a kind year to me.
The good thing about this is that it led to a (at the time of writing) ~5000km of cycling, from Sherbrook, QC to... to somewhere in BC. Or maybe Yukon. Or maybe North West Territories. Or maybe... you get the idea. I call the project "Franck's Great Escape" (free translation from French, "La Grande Fuite de Franck").
Happy to share a talk, beer, cyclo stories & generally good company with hosts along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to be on this site many years ago (7 years +) but can't retrieve my account. Not sure how it is now, but they really worked on the website!
Many reasons - I like all similar platforms for others things like car pooling & other sharing ideas. I think it's great that all you need to meet people/exchange ideas/services is an account. You meet people you probably never would otherwise, this is also what life is about - the randomness of it, creating the space and the chances for things to happen without necessarily having a plan.
Perhaps my travels & advantures can inspire people I meet along the way. I sure observe this can be the case, when people come and ask me questions about cycling & the bike as I engulfe half a dozen donuts just because I saw a Tim Hortons and I once again fooled myself into going as "I'm really just going to be bumming the free wifi for a few minutes".
