About Me
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING ME
a) Please read all the content of my profile. I only consider requests quoting the "keywords" mentioned in my profile and providing the information requested in it. Otherwise, requests will be refused with no explanation. "Copy-and-paste" requests will also be refused with no explanation.
b) I prefer hosting CSers traveling on their own and for UP TO two nights only . His/her stay may be extended after meeting the guest. If you are traveling with a friend, please send details: CS account, FB account, photos and personal details.
c) I may request a video conversation before confirming your stay in my house.
d) I do not send official letters of invitation for visa purposes.
e) Please let me know in your request if you have any food/drink limitation, or any other "special" habit.
Please note that I am not the right host for you if:
a) you plan to use my house only as a free place to sleep, take a shower and/or as a safe deposit for your luggage;
b) you don't see the difference between being hosted and being in a hostel;
c) you are afraid of/allergic to dogs or you do not like being approached by one;
d) if you need to be shown around the city or taken to bars and discos.
People who are rude, arrogant or abusive; freeloaders; those who don't take daily showers, those who bring drugs into my house; homophobes; animal hunters and those whose life is guided by religious principles and practices; ARE NOT WELCOMED AND MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE. I am most annoyed by guests who help themselves to food and drinks in the house without asking permission.
WHO AM I
I am an easy going and respectful man who enjoys the company of people from different backgrounds, relaxed dinners as well as intelligent conversations around a glass of wine or beer.
I am gay and proud to be. I am happy to host LGBT as well as straight people. I am not on CS to look for gay guys but should anyone feel concerned, he should find another host.
I have worked all my professional life as Agricultural Economist in the United Nations. Having now retired, I devote my time to cooking, photography and to my dog. I love photography, cooking, good food, excellent pastry, wine and beer. I have visited about 70 countries and lived in UK, Venezuela, Ecuador, Algeria and Italy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet and get to know new people, particularly those whom I would not easily meet in my ordinary walks of life. I look forward to welcoming clean, nice and polite guests with inquisitive and open minds as well as with a good sense of humour. Photography lovers and people who can cook well dishes from their own country are particularly welcomed.
