Hello!

My name is Franco, I'm from Argentina, grew up in Canada, and now live in Edinburgh! I'm in love with Scotland, have lived here for 7 years, but haven't explored as much as I would have liked of Europe!

I work in renewable energy in Scotland, I work as a cartographer, you could say. Essentially, I make maps for a living. Somebody has to, no?

I also play music in a few bands here in Edinburgh. I play mostly keyboards and synthesizers, in bands varying from jazz and hip-hop to soul and folk. Would love to meet other musicians while travelling. Similarly, I like reparing old analog film cameras, so I'm always hunting for cameras when I travel that I can buy and fix at home. Meeting other photographers would be fantastic!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've made a promise to myself to travel more. I've hosted couch surfers before, in the old website (before the app!) and would like to engage with that form of travel and discovery. That's my main reason. I would really love to meet musicians on travels, so that's part of the reason also.

I really like funk and jazz music. Always up to see a jazz show. Psychedelic rock, contemporary composers, electronic music, tango... pretty much anything really.

Books: Currently reading a lot of non-fiction, it's hard to get away from it.

Languages! I can speak Spanish, French and English fluently. And I've been trying to learn Polish and most recently Norwegian. I would love to do a language exchange if you would like.
