About Me
Hey there, welcome !
My name is Francois, though no one calls me that way : Frank, Francis, Steevy or Steven, pick the one you want, it will fit much better ;)
I'm a young belgian guy who grew up in Brussels, Belgium and who just graduated with a law degree, although there is nothing I expect less right now than sitting down in an office all day long. That's why you could currently find me driving an old 87' campervan around Australia, well decided to meet other crazy travellers and live the big adventure !
I'm the kind of person who doesn't like too much to get into a routine, I guess that's why I love travelling, and I believe the most authentical experiences are the best : when you leave the track that everybody is following to trust your instinct instead, when you turn your back at the big attractions and organized stuff to live your own adventure the way you decide with only what is necessary in your rucksack. However, when it's time to come back from an expedition, you can be sure to find me with a big cold beer in the hand, ready to party all night and have fun !
Even if it might sound commonplace, I think I'm an easy going, optimistic and open-minded person. Travelling, most of all, is about meeting new people. So even if we don't know each other yet, I'm already eager to meet you !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new around here, but I've been looking forward to be part of this community for a long time. I totally identify to the couchsurfing philosophy : not everything in life must have a price, you can help your fellas without expecting anything in return and yet we know that it makes us all richer in the end. Plus it's a very simple, authentical and funny way to travel and make new friends ;)
Interests
Travelling obviously, and the true and simple backpacker way is my favourite : pulling out your shoes after a big day of hiking in the wild, pitching your tent wherever you like and lie down under the stars, that is truly an awesome feeling ..
Besides, I like music, music festivals, reading, eating (cheese !), politics and economics, debates. And rarely refuse to party wild and go out with old or new friends. These friends who like to remind me that I'm not the sportiest guy on earth, yet I think that running, hicking, skiing and now scuba diving is already fair enough ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely share my enthusiasm about travelling ! For the rest I'll be happy to share some good times. It can as well be a little visit around the place, a good drink in a bar, an all-night-long debate about capitalism or about the future of humankind, or a big drinking session where we just get wasted, all is good for me.
