ABOUT ME

I am a very outgoing open minded individual seeking to explore as much of the world as I can. Recently graduated and looking to enjoy my time abroad before I set forth into my career.

I'm originally from Los Angeles, California but since January 2014 I've been traveling all over the world with a goal to go to ever single country in the world (even the ones the UN don’t recognize 😉)!

Oh and I'm mostly vegan when I’m at home but when I’m travel, then I’m vegetarian! :)

Mainly I used the excuse of just graduating (June 2013 & July 2016) to give myself a few months of vacation in another country, but as I experienced more countries, I wanted to continue to travel and continue to experience even more. Also because I am a huge futbol (soccer) fanatic, I used the World Cup as an excuse to do some more traveling.

Really my love for futbol and traveling have combined to go hand in hand when it comes to me choosing my destinations and where and when to be in what new and exciting city/country. Although I am a diehard fan of the sport, I only use it as a partial excuse to travel. What I really enjoy is the different ambiances I experience along with people and culture in the new countries I have been in. It really is truly amazing and I cannot get enough of the experiences.

My goal is to go to as many countries as I can to experience as much culture as I can from the world as one whole entity. I love the world and what it has to offer and I want to take advantage of it while I can and while I'm young.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that a good time consists of good company or ambiance. I am very easy to please and feel one of the most important things is to be surrounded by good people and good vibes.

I also believe that you get what you give. I am a very caring and fun loving person and I have been very blessed in life to be given so many opportunities and I believe it is because I have been so welcoming throughout my life and I aim to continue my ways through my experiences in other foreign cultures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love traveling and equally hosting people. I truly believe that the most beautiful thing about traveling are the people and their culture. It's so fascinating to me that there can be so many differences in one world and it just makes me want to get to learn about all of them. When I'm traveling I always try couch surfing first in the hopes of finding a charismatic individual that can show me around or even help me make the most of my trip. When I'm hosting I always try to host people whom have similar ideals as well as from different parts of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but great experiences which leads me to continue to use CouchSurfing. I have enjoyed all of my hosts and felt like I had made lifetime friends. I enjoyed all the experiences I had with them and wish to experience so much more with many others. I am excited to continue using CouchSurfing.

Interests

Well first the obvious, I am very passionate about futbol and travel. I enjoy everything about the sport including reading, playing, and watching it, just as I enjoy every aspect of travel; even the getting lost part, it always makes for a great story. I love meeting new people and establishing friendships and just overall having a great time. My main thing is I love to joke around and laugh and just overall be in a good mood. I tend to surround myself with good vibes just as I give off. I would not be able to enjoy such wonderful things in life, such as futbol and travel, if I am not having a good time as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge movie buff. I love any and all kinds of movies. I would hate to list some of my favorites because there will just be so many and I couldn't possibly name them all without forgetting a few but chances are if you saw it and loved it so did/will I. I like all kinds of music and books, my genres are always open for new stories and audio experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In May 2015 I packed a backpack weighting 10-15 kilos and went to 35 cities in 3 months starting in Beijing, China and ending in Reykjavík, Iceland. I'm always looking for adventure and want to continue to add to my list!

I spent 5 months in 2019 traveling all around Africa with just a backpack. I visited 17 countries during this time and had unforgettable experiences. I can’t wait to return to the continent and visit the remaining 37 or so countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I received a BA in Sociology with and emphasis in Law and also a BA in Communications at the University of California San Diego. I enjoy those two subjects; a combination of society with law. I am extremely interested on how society works and all the different types of society that exist around the world. It is my fascination which has propelled me into seeking such new and exciting means of lodgings through this site, which in turn has opened my eyes up to the different styles of cultures of societies all around the world through the different kinds of amazing people I have been so fortunate to meet.

Also as of 2016 I have received my MBA in Sports Management at the Real Madrid Graduate School afflicted with Universidad Europea de Madrid in Madrid, Spain. This experience was incredibly memorable. Meeting and studying with so many international cultures whom all share the same love for sport was quite an experience. I was very fortunate to attend this university as well as graduate with not only an MBA but a group of friends around the globe. Also don't let the name of the university fool you, I am still and always will be a FC Barcelona supporter lol.

I love to get to know my hosts. I chose you for a reason thus I would love to get to know you and find out about your culture and or what it is like living in the country you do. I love having conversations with my hosts about anything really. One day I think that people will travel not to see countries or monuments but instead to meet unique people and have a good time and or make a new friend abroad.
