Overview
About Me
I recently moved back to my home country after 8 years living in different countries, but I still travel often for work or for leisure. Passionate about renewable energy, where I started a business as a solar energy expert.
Easy-going, open-minded and direct person. Like good mood and positive people. Keen on great adventure stories to get inspiration to continue discovering the world.
Travelling around the world and getting to know from different cultures was my main motivation since being a child, and I am happy that I could achieve it and build an international life.
I am also concerned about the natural environment, the animals and the sustainable development. Love sports, especially tennis as you can see in my profile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First at all, I strongly believe that you can experience a new country/culture only if you stay with locals and make a culture exchange. My own experience proved it true.
Second, I really love speaking with foreigners, practising languages and making friends all over the world. They show me a different side of life which I could add to mine!
And last but not least. Can somebody explain me why you should book an expensive hotel to be alone the whole stay meanwhile there are people out there looking for friends and experiences and with empty beds?
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Ikigai method (best book I read to find your passion and build your life), Master and Margarita, Harry Potter fan
Music: Indie, folk, country, celtic, classical, comercial, dance. I like to discover new songs with couchsourfers.
Films: comedies, mystery and history. Hotel Rwanda, The ethernal sunshine of the spotless mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2013. A night bath in a stormy and rainy day in the frozen water of an England beach, and after dressing a reindeer custome in the street to get warm . I must say I hate cold water.
2015. Walking inside a glacier in Switzerland and driving around mountain passes when as foggy as you can see nothing.
2017. Trying to sleep out one winter night in a secluded area of Iceland.
Surviving three years in Denmark without biking. Hiking to Ulriken mountain in Bergen.
2018. Driving in the "roads" of Latvia, stopping the car at midnight and taking a bath in the river. Kayaking in Daugava river (Riga) together with yatches and large boats during the sunset.
2019. Learning the Cyrillic alphabet and make a solo trip in Ukraine, which finished participating in a race along the streets in Kyiv and in a concert with 100.000 people.
2020. Taking the last train back to Slovakia, as of course I was travelling when covid lockdown started
2021. Lived in Canada winter and survived it
2022. Explored Colombia and Mexico to start business there and discovered the secrets of Latin America
