About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Know as much as i could the world and its habitants

ABOUT ME

If friends were talking about me, i think (i hope xD) they'll say something like, He is honest, open-minded, always for having some drinks, some fun, some music, someone you can rely on in various situations, he can be as reserved as completely expansive depending the atmosphere.

PHILOSOPHY

For now, just see the world, meet its numerous cultures and its awesome people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now i'm travelling so offering my coach is not quite simple, but as i can i will !
Or else, meet other coachsurfers, show the city i live, havre some drinks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was in Chicoutimi (Saguenay, Québec) and as first, it was very surprising.
We came at the house of our hosts (a young couple with a baby), we talked for 10 minutes and they suddenly left, gone to throw the garbage. Thirty seconds later the girl just show is head by the door, saying "oh we didn't say it, but could you keep an eye on the baby ?".
And they left us alone with their baby for almost half an hour ...
People are amazing !

From this time i spent around 2y and half only travelling across Canada and USA, staying to a lot of different places (the longest i stayed at the same place during this time is 2 weeks). And even if i really like to travel myself, i'm really looking forward to host travellers ^^

Right now, end of 2015, and after a few months home i'm going on another trip accros Europe, Russia , Corea and Japan looking forward to meet people from those countries and its culture.

Interests

Travelling and meeting people for sure. Hiking in the nature. Many sports (soccer first) but more practicing than just watching ( but i don't say no to game in a bar with some beers). I don't watch tv (i sold mine years ago) but i really enjoy movies, series and documentaries sometimes. I wasn't really interested in music untill my 20yo, but from this moment i'm always keen on listenning old classicals or discovering new artists (and i don't know a better way that concerts !)

Being on a kayak at 10 meters from a blue whale.

My first paragliding shot when the wind just lifted us so gently "Omg i'm flying !"

Walked an entire night on the Slave Lake (Yellowknife) and watch the northern lights for hours.

Biked naked in San Francisco with hundreds of people

Shared an amazing time being present to a spiritual ceremony with native people who picked me up hitchhiking inCanada.

Hitchhiked an ice-road (frozen river so) to Tuktoyaktuk (Northern Canada) iduring winter and walk on the Artic Ocean.

Last minute replaced a friend for the Montreal Marathon, hoping to do half or so, and finally running the entire route in 3h51 with no training :p

Polar Bear watching in the nature in Churchill (Northern Manitoba, Canada).

A fair amount of hitch-hiking and roadtrips across North America.

Swam with wild sea turtles in Mexico at 6am,after a night on the beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : Well, i think i have a practical mind and i used to work in construction, so if you need a hand i can try to help you !
And i surprised myself improvising being a french teacher, which i actually like, so let me know if you're interested ;)

Learn : I'm still learning to open myself to the world ^^ During my travel i'm always asking people who could teach me ... anything ! It's so good to learn.

Sharing : The best times and the best way to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good chat, a delicious meal, a few drinks, travel stories, crepes on a morning, a good hike, language help, DIY job, slacklining (still a newbie :), i'am a no-musician but dancing is fun. I'll share whatever i know, and I'll be please to join my host activities :)
I think so far with my host(s) I've been :
Going to yoga class, swimming pool, gym club, silk class, dance club, soccer game, hockey game, rodeo show, concerts, family diners ( this one is really funny) and friends' birthdays, work in veggie farm and chicken farm, a native american spiritual ceremony, halloween costumed party, a naked social club, visit a helicopter company, a radio station, a coffee roastery, slept in a church, going to a santacon party, paddle in Louisiana's swamps, started to learn slack-lining, cut a christmas tree, met my future girlfriend, watch northern lights, hosted within the artic circle, and going to museums, parties and bars of course ...
