About Me
UPDATE July 2017: Due to much travel and other reasons, I am barely at home in the next time, so I needed to set my status to Not Accepting Guests.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like to travel and to meet interesting people :-)
Since 2013 I'm doing it intensively as backpacker around the world: East and West Europe, North and South America. And this summer 2016 I had a very interesting trip through Russia, Mongolia and China:

Via Couchsurfing I met many positively inspiring people and had very good experiences. One of the best experience was the voluteering at an English summer camp in Russia. Talking to the kids in English, playing with them, telling about our countries and all and everything gave me the great feeling of a deeper sense while travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet interesting people - and Couchsurfing is a very good site to do so.
I used Couchsurfing in 2016 intensively, but in the moment I am barely at home - that's why I changed the status to "Maybe accepting guests" and reserve the few days at home primerly for guests, which I already know. Maybe lateron I'll become a more active Couchsurfer again.

Music, Movies, and Books
One book, what I read once with passion and will read gain:
Glimpses of World History by Jawaharlal Nehru
Music by:
Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Doors, Pink Floyd, Element of Crime, Toten Hosen - and many others.
Movies by:
Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola - and many others
I'm not a fan of Schwarzenegger's movies. But his career is impressive and I like his speech about the "6 rules of success":
1. Trust yourself
2. Break some rules
3. Don't be afraid to fail
4. Ignore the naysayers
5. Work like hell
6. Give something back.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the view of adventure:
Downhill mountain biking the "Death Road" (el camino de la muerte) from La Paz to the Yungas
In the view of "giving something back":
Voluteering at theEnglish summer camp - it was in a good sense of Schwarzeneggers 6th rule: Give something back.
One Amazing Thing I would like to do sometimes:
- Travel from Mexico the Central American countries till Panama
- Overcome the Darian Gap to Colombia
- Take a flight to Jamaica, sit a whole night in the Government Yard in Trenchtown and hear "No women no cry" :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
In the said English camp I got the feedback: I can teach English.
(And of course I could also my native language German.)
And some other things related to my job as engineer in IT.
What I Can Share with Hosts
