About Me

ABOUT ME

Joyfull fellow, open for almost anything. I am talkative and enjoy small and curious things. Open for a beer, an adventure, arts, a good hike,... I am an artist, part of an duo called Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert. We present video art, build installations and create our own theater performances.

I am traveling the world to see all its wonderful and less wonderfull aspects. I want to learn and search. Make art is an urge, no matter where I am. I want to film the unbelievable. I am Interested in horoscopes, films, literature, deep space, black holes, the universe, mysteries, history, paradoxes of any kind, beers, food, wines, science and art.

I Love meeting nice people. Love discovering a city from within and not just on a superficial touristic level. Want to see more, know more. I am easy to surprise. I love to relax and go crazy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After a beautiful time between Texas and Oklahoma and meeting very nice people, amusing myself with some local parties and working a little on a new video project, I ended up in Los Angeles. Being totally alone there, without a car or money, I ended up next a highway between a clandestine group of beggars and some Mexican criminals. Had to walk my way from the beach to the downtown region of the city. And, while walking, I tried to film what was going on next to this highway (the Mexicans were armed and everything looked a little fucked up). It was raining. Lost a part of my luggage. Almost got caught by one of these Mexicans. Obviously they didn't liked the fact that I was wondering around and filming. A little panic. I ran of and after some miles I was being stopped by a Scientology agent who wanted to call the cops because (once again) I was filming (on private property = the road next to a Scientology domain (how could I know!)). Cried. Slept on the streets overnight. Went to airport. Got stuck in traffic, almost missed my plane. Arrived in Atlanta. Got stuck there because of a thing with variable hours wrongly printed on my boarding pass. Weird coincidence, but great story and nice footage! Best of both worlds, seeing the nice and the ugly side of a nation.
