About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm Italian, as you probably guessed from my name, but I have been living in London fro the last 5 years.
I am very easy going, down to earth type of person, smiley and with good sense of humor. As almost every Italian I know, I am quite a good cook, even though I rather eating than cooking :) I am a vegetarian and I believe in a cruelty free life style. I practice yoga, study saxophone, dance Tango and, very soon, Jive as well.

I have a very active life style: gym, cycling, running and, every time I can, I like to go hiking.

I love traveling, like most people, but after covering almost all most well known locations in Europe, I decided to start being a little more adventurous. I have been in the Sinai Desert for 1 week, just in presence of a Bedouin guide. We slept under a wild sky, without tends. The experience has been so overwhelmingly beautiful that I decided to start a new tradition in my life: 1 adventurous trip per yer :)

I am going to do the Camino De Santiago this year...yes, less difficult, but it will be my first solo trip.

I am a good friend, I love to listen and to talk about almost anything!!

PHILOSOPHY

If you cannot fight it, embrace it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to support people traveling where I live exploring the hidden gems of this city, London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just two experience so far, but both great!
The first with a couple from Bulgaria: they were awesome!!!
The second with a vegan couple from Canadian: brilliant. We had a lovely time together, even though they visited Italy in August, and yes, Italians disappear during the summer...everyone on the beach (or at home melting on the couch).
I also had an amazing host in UK, Anja that made me feel very comfortable during 3 crazy days trying to find an accommodation in Brighton where I planned to move to the following week.

Interests

I love reading, especially Russian and Latin-american literature
I love movies, especially Italian new-realism ones from 40s to 60s. I love Monicelli, V. De Sica, Visconti, Rossellini, but also Pasolini and Fellini. I like the north Europe directors as well, such as Bergman, Dreyer, Von Trier.
And, last but not least, Pedro Almodovar!
I love music, I cannot live without it. I studied for many years piano, a long long time ago. I have now decided to challenge myself and started to study the saxophone! I absolutely love jazz and swing, but also electronic and rock. I really like classical music and the opera, my favorite one is Madam Butterfly.
