Overview
About Me
I will be both hosting and travelling with my extraordinary wife - Veronika, and my smiling son, Jonukas, who is almost always happy, and who just celebrated his first birthday on October 6th, 2015. I was born in Germany, near Hannover, but 16 years ago I moved to Vilnius, Lithuania, where my wife and I now run a family business renting bicycles.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was younger, I travelled a lot, and found hosts through the Esperanto community. Now that I have a family, and a business, I am not able to travel as much as before, but I would still like to meet new people by hosting them, and maybe travelling every once in a while with my family. I would also like to help out other travellers, as so many people have helped me in the past.
Interests
Cycling, politics, different cultures, religion, cooking, the scouting movement, reading, green movement, Esperanto movement, learning new things, travelling, watching my son try to do things that are difficult for him, languages, theatre, listening to people who can play the guitar or other instrument (I am an etermal beginner) or can sing really well, discussing things, quarreling with my wife, buying yoghurt, eating yogurt, playing board games, history, Vilnius, and more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was one of the main organizers of a cycling tour from Germany to Estonia in 1994.
Teach, Learn, Share
My wife and I both love learning, and are willing to teach anything we know. We can educate you about Lithuania or how to repair a bike inner tube when the tire gets punctured. We can share evening conversations over a cup of tea, and my wife can share her hitchhiking stories, wisdom, and odd personality.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, discussions, I can cook you a meal, I can do minor repairs on your bike if you have the tools, Jonukas would probably be glad to share his smiles, we can help with chores or whatever you like
