Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I'm going to be hosting some surfers. I host my first surfer in October, and I'm excited about that! I hope to be a great host! But I hope that I rack up enough karma to surf in the summer. Next summer I'm going to be traveling around the world to 22 different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Hopefully I can surf on my trip around the world! But I want to do some hosting first so people know I'm not just a leech.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some of the most interesting people through couchsurfing. I met a man who bicycled around the world and some artists. All friendly and easy going. One guest brought me chocolates from Prague! I've had a blast meeting these guys.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Lost City, American History X, Lean On Me

Music: 90's, 80's, Gospel, Top 40. Old 1950's Cuban music. Salsa.

Books: Paolo Coelho "The Alchemis," Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged," Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Scarlett Letter," and "The Giving Tree" by Sheil Silverstien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled up and down the US Eastern seaboard. My favorite place was washington DC but I really loved colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. Also, sky diving in cape canaveral was pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook. If you want, I can take you to a supermarket in town and pick up some ingredients to show you how to make an authentic Cuban meal. This particular meal I'm thinking of serves about 8, so you'll probably have food for days!

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Mexico, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, United States
