About Me

I just quit my job as a barista at Tchibo, because I felt I didn't enjoy living like that. I'm trying to follow my dreams and to become an actor. I like reading (everything, really), playing vidya on my Ecksbawks Three-Sixty, and stuff everybody likes and does: traveling and watching films (I used to write reviews for FilmWeb.pl).
I drive with my bicycle everywhere. Where I can't, I run there. I train crossfit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried couchsurfing once. The girl who let me sleep in her place was extremely polite, very nice and also had fantastic sense of humour. I thought I might be like that too, someday.

I love you, human beings. Welcome to my place.

Interests

I made myself a "good deeds" book. Trying to do as much as I can for our kind and write it down. Boosts the ego too. Good for everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

Damn, favourite stuff, that's always though. Okay... I'll go with
MUSIC: Third Rock Radio (always plays some good stuff), generally Rock. I adore the Doors, the Queen, Imagine Dragons, Muse and some indie music YOU PROBABLY NEVER HEARD OF (just kidding).

FILMS: http://www.filmweb.pl/user/DiegoTan for detailed list.
Without that: Zatoichi, Gran Torino, Mr. Nobody, Yôjinbô, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Dances with Wolves, The Meaning of Life by Monthy Python, all the Star Wars (I'm a HUGE fan. And I don't mean I'm fat by that), "Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?", FRANK, Grand Budapest Hotel... and I LIKE MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC. It's a good show, okay?

BOOKS: Well... Read too many goods so I'll just shoot randomly:
- Gerald Durrell, My Family and other Animals
-Dave Eggers, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
-Daniel Defoe, Robinson Crusoe
-Jaroslava Hašek, Osudy dobrého vojáka Švejka za světové války
-Voltaire, EVERYTHING
-Drew Karpyshyn - all of his science fiction novels
-Stanisław Lem - many of his science fiction novels
Sh*t, there's too many good books. Just ask me if I read one and we'll talk about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I AM! AMAZING! But just one... What I'm most proud of? Okay, so hold onto your laces... There's this story... It was a winter, freezing day, snow was 2 feets deep and it was still snowing. I was on a bus to my highschool, going to spend some boring lessons by watching the paint go dry on the walls. Then, there comes this old blind man with white stick and everything. He asks what bus it is, and can somebody help him. Nobody moved so I did; took his hand and showed him to a seat. Asked where he is going. He said he's going to the hospital, because he has serious leg problem. I asked if I can see. His knee was very badly swollen. I promised him I'll help him go there. So we did leave the bus on the right stop (nowadays we have a recorded man saying every station or stop out loud, then it was silent, a nightmare for blind people). On the way to the hospital (still almost knee-deep in snow) I found out that he went blind when he was a kid. Don't remember his name; a shame. Despite his blindness he found a wife and had healthy kids, even grandchildren. He used to have a work in the old days, as he said, he weaved baskets. Just like the blind man in "Robinson Crusoe" I though. Anyway. We reached the hospital. I waited with him in the lounge for almost two hours. It was hot, the air conditioning was out and people were kinda rude. Babies crying, that kinda unpleasant environment. Finnaly, it's his time. Oh god, this doctor/nurse woman was cringeworthy... She didn't even look at him, she said "I'm not a knee-doctor! You have to make an appointment to a correct doctor!". And threw us out of the cabinet. I'll never forget the look on that old man's face... "It's.... okay.... I can go home." BUT! I said "wait! This is not acceptable... You cannot leave it this way. WE cannot leave it this way." I walked straight to the hospitals manager. Now THAT was a pleasant woman. She was so kind and understanding. She said she will fix it right away. Took us to the, well, correct doctor of knee-fixing or whatnot, he "repaired" the old man's knee in few moments and appointed him for next visits.

After all that I guided the blind man to his house and he was almost crying when he was thanking me. I still see him sometimes on the bus-stops when I'm riding my bike.

Teach, Learn, Share

I agree with the above. Do just that, and be a happy human being.
