Traveling in London, Germany, and Ireland until the end of July with my partner Benjamin, then making our way back home to Atlantic Canada in August. Looking for fun festivals or events that we can volunteer to help with along the way :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Backpacked around Europe: hitchhiking, camping and couchsurfing. Loved meeting new couch surfing hosts and attending CS meet-ups.

My interests in this area are pretty much a mash of different types & genres. There's not much that I can't get into or at least appreciate on some level. That being said, I do have an unexplainable love of bad 80s/90s movies & music.. :P

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Mount Fuji: you are a fool not to climb Fuji, but you are an even bigger fool to climb it twice! One place where the best & worst moments of our '08 trip collided. That feeling when the sun rises and you're unsure if you are above or below the sky as you can see both the night sky over the clouds and daylight under them, is indescribable. It was months afterwards before I finally stopped dreaming I was back on that damn mountain, and yet when the dreams would end I'd miss even the red dust & chilled air.

I enjoy learning different art techniques from crafty type people; especially textile based art forms (dying, felting, weaving, sewing), jewelry making, painting & inking.
Also, I've recently taken an interest in learning to cook. Formerly a very picky & bland eater, I'm attempting to broaden my food experience, sometimes it ends badly but usually it seems to leave me pleasantly surprised.
