Hi, I'm Frankie

I currently work as a Language Aux in Galicia, Spain

I'm a linguist in training with a keen interest in Phonetics and ethnolinguistics.

Part of my reason for being on here is to be exposed to other people and find connections. I sometimes stay in my comfort zone, and that doesn't really do me any good, I hope to launch myself into discomfort.

I enjoy talking about the state of the world, the views on culture, language flukes, what people's childhoods were like, why we are the way we are, and othe existential topics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes I feel I live in my head, and I need to force myself to be a part of the world; to be in someone's everyday space is to experience how they operate in their corner of the world

Interests

I enjoy play and relaxed silliness. I love dancing. Exercising is soul food. I'm not any good an many sports, but I do like to practice them when I can.
I'm a huge cinephile and really enjoy analyzing the dynamics of moving pictures. In the same vein, poetry and literature take up a special place in my heart. I can't always explain what the human condition means to me, but I have many ways to point it out by others who've written about it
