About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have a hippy Summer

ABOUT ME

I eat a lot of ice lollies from the local health food shop and love the idea of playing in the river in Bath, but am a bit scared of how freezing it will be.

I love wine, hate computers, and work quite a few mornings a week.

I also have a lazy midlands accent and might be a bit hard to understand for anyone who doesn't know English very well...

PHILOSOPHY

Always keep a diary...
and try to be good to the environment, even if you're a gross student.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to hear crazy traveling people stories and show everyone all the stuff in Bath that isn't tourist nonsense.

I walked past a tour guide today that had a group crowded round a phone box that was turned into a cash point and talked about why people don't need phone boxes anymore... I don't want anyone coming to Bath to have to go through that crap.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a 'gap yahr' over summer where I went to France and Belgium for about a month. I never really left the country much before (let alone on my own) so I thought that I may as well do all the token traveler stuff. I Couchsurfed with a few people, did Workaway on a hippy farm and went to some god awful festival in Belgium.

I am also trying to host people in Bath as much as I can, I'm trying to stop going to so many tourist places and show people the stuff that doesn't get advertised anywhere...

Interests

I've really gotten into avocados recently, but figuring out when they're ripe enough isn't my strong point.

Music, Movies, and Books

I got too into the Beat generation books for a while until they made me want to quit Uni and spend my life driving around hot places and trying to be Neal Cassidy.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy audiobooks read by Stephen Fry and Martin Freeman are incredible.
I go through phases with music and i can't be arsed to list stuff, but Africa by Toto always has a place in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hugging strangers covered in glitter while Africa (by Toto)was played in the rain at Bestival.

Going past some mountains in France (I don't know which they were, I was on a coach that wouldn't say) listening to Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You by Led Zeppelin.

Man, I had an emotional summer!

Teach, Learn, Share

Uni has frazzled my brain, does anyone really come out having learned anything? I feel like I've got stupider.
